JC Lopategui

JC Lopategui was born and raised in San Juan, Puerto Rico, where he developed a passion for the water at an early age. As a matter of fact, his family purchased their very first boat from IMS Yachts, making his involvement with the company a full circle experience.

Since moving to South Florida in 2004, JC has been bringing a unique blend of global experience and hospitality expertise to the yachting industry. As a 2002 graduate of The Culinary Institute of America, he spent years traveling and training in kitchens around the world, sharpening not only his culinary skills, but also his understanding of diverse cultures. Having this background permits him to offer clients a level of service that is rooted in professionalism, hospitality, and personal connection.

With a wide network in the charter industry, JC has expanded his scope to represent buyers and sellers in brokerage deals, custom builds, and new construction projects. Although he primarily specializes in cruising yachts and catamarans, he is passionate about expanding his knowledge across all sectors of the industry.

As an American Sailing Association-certified sailor with ongoing training, JC is also known as a natural connector who thrives on building long-lasting relationships. Whether you’re buying, selling, or simply exploring your options, JC looks forward to guiding you every step of the way.
