VEYA 53 makes its world premiere in Cannes as VEYA unveils the next model in its range
The French power-catamaran brand presents its first yacht to the international press and officially reveals the VEYA 47, confirming a long-term range strategy.
Cannes, September 2026 – VEYA Yachts presents the VEYA 53 at the Cannes Yachting Festival, marking the world premiere of the brand’s first yacht. At the same time, VEYA is officially revealing the VEYA 47, the next model in the range, ahead of its planned world premiere in Cannes in 2027. The Cannes presentation also marks the official appointment of François Doré as CEO of VEYA Yachts.
Created through the combined expertise of Fountaine Pajot and Couach Catamarans, VEYA brings together established multihull knowledge, French shipbuilding experience and a clear design ambition: to find a new balance of strength, space and elegance in the power-catamaran market. The VEYA 53 is the first physical expression of that vision – a 16.50-metre owner-focused power catamaran conceived to be open to the sea yet reassuring, generous in space yet purposeful in use, and distinctive without ostentation.

Space with purpose
The VEYA 53 uses its multihull architecture to create a succession of distinct but connected living areas rather than simply maximizing volume. Five principal zones shape life onboard: the foredeck lounge, aft cockpit, main saloon, flybridge and private accommodation. Depending on configuration, approximately 82 to 85 m² of fitted living areas are organized to create different rhythms onboard – family moments, time shared with friends, and genuine privacy when wanted.
One of the defining design decisions is the full-beam opening between the saloon and aft cockpit, without a central pillar. When open, the two areas read as one continuous living sequence with a wide, uninterrupted connection to the sea. The aft cockpit is deliberately versatile, while the hydraulic platform, dedicated storage and capacity for a 4-metre tender extend the yacht’s use directly to water level.
A private environment
The owner’s suite is conceived as a private apartment at sea rather than a conventional sleeping cabin. Generous proportions, extensive sea views, private office logic and substantial dressing volume give the owner space a clear identity of its own, separated from the yacht’s principal social areas.
That same philosophy guides the fit-out. VEYA brings French artisanal savoir-faire into the VEYA 53 through carefully selected materials, meticulous finishes and close attention to manufacturing detail. The intention is not decorative excess, but the right detail in the right place. Three- and four-cabin arrangements are available within the VEYA 53 programme, together with dedicated crew accommodation; depending on configuration, up to two independent crew cabins can be integrated.
A design identity with substance
Berret-Racoupeau developed the VEYA 53 around a balance of visual strength and lightness. Its long waterline, lean beam, wave-piercing bows and elongated glazing create a recognizable profile, complemented by a distinctive lighting signature. Open sightlines are equally important inside the architecture, including the pillar-free aft opening and the treatment of the forward hardtop to preserve views and the sense of space.
Going farther at sea also demands a robust and capable boat. The VEYA 53 is built in France by Couach Catamarans using foam-core sandwich infusion technology. Standard propulsion is provided by twin Yanmar 6LY 550 hp engines in V-drive shaft configuration. Maximum speed is 24 knots. Performance is integrated into a broader design brief that also prioritizes stability, protection, storage, practical use and ease of ownership.

VEYA 47: the next chapter of the range
Cannes also marks the first official public preview of the VEYA 47. At 14.50 metres, the new model translates the same VEYA principles into a more compact format, with its own proportions and ownership brief. Exterior living, clear circulation and genuine accommodation remain central to the concept.
Preliminary specifications include a 6.85 m beam, 0.99 m draft and twin Yanmar 6LY 440 hp V-drive propulsion. Current design direction includes a flybridge, forward lounge, aft cockpit, full-beam aft beach and dedicated water-toy storage, with three- and four-cabin layouts under study. Detailed general arrangement, equipment, standard/option split and final commercial specifications remain under validation.
The VEYA 47 is planned to make its world premiere in Cannes in 2027. A third VEYA model is targeted for 2028, reinforcing the brand’s intention to establish a coherent and enduring family of power catamarans.
